About this service

This service is provided across Australia by eight specialist agencies with expertise in supporting people who have experienced torture, war, persecution or forced displacement. Services include assessment, counselling and recovery-focused support delivered by experienced clinicians.

This service may help:

  • Reduce trauma-related distress and symptoms
  • Improve emotional wellbeing and daily functioning
  • Support recovery, safety and rebuilding life after trauma

All agencies are accredited under the National Standards for Mental Health Services.
